Home of Champions is a Backing the Future QLD grant recipient

Home of Champions, founded by Elisha Taderera, was a 2023 Queensland recipient of a Backing the Future grant.

The Backing the Future grants program is run by the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation. It supports young people aged 15 to 24 in rural and regional New South Wales and Queensland, awarding $50,000 over 12 months to individuals and groups of individuals whose work focuses on rural and regional young people.

The second round of grants opened in February 2023 for individuals based in Queensland. Applicants submitted a written and video application outlining their idea. The foundation’s Youth Advisory Group then shortlisted the applications.
